Prayers needed for Richards Bay doctor’s recovery

The family is grateful for all the messages of support from family, friends and neighbours

THE Richards Bay community is asked to keep Dr Frans Roodt in their thoughts and prayers after he suffered a heart attack yesterday (Monday).

Dr Roodt, who works out of the Meerensee Medical Centre, was taken to Netcare The Bay Hospital on Sunday after fracturing some bones in one of his feet.

He underwent surgery for the fractured bones but in the early hours of yesterday (Monday) morning, he suffered a heart attack.

Dr Roodt was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where he remains in a serious condition.

His wife Marie wishes to convey her gratitude for the countless messages and telephone calls of support and says she apologises for not being able to return all of them.
