UPDATE: John Ross cycling accident accused in court

Daniel Titus is competing in the Aquelle Tour Durban, while Neil McMaster hopes to compete in next month's Sani 2 C

THE man accused of ploughing into Richards Bay cyclists Neil McMaster and Daniel Titus on the John Ross Parkway last month, appeared briefly in the Richards Bay District Court before Easter.

Khulekani Dlamini (29) was arrested at the scene of the accident, which occurred on 4 March during the cyclists’ training ride in preparation for the Cape Town Cycle Tour.

Dlamini was charged with reckless and negligent driving, having a blood alcohol level above the legal limit and driving without a valid licence.

He was released on R1 000 bail shortly after the incident
