MEERENSEE residents are urged to make arrangements to plan ahead for a water interruption scheduled for Tuesday.
Both City of uMhlathuze spokesperson Mdu Ncalane and North Coast Water Utility’s Project Manager – the contractor working on the Alkantstrand beach desalination plant – on Friday confirmed water would be switched off from 6am to about 1pm.
‘Not the whole of Meerensee will be affected, only residents living in the vicinity of The Richards Hotel,’ said Ncalane.
The water interruption is necessary for the joining of the desalination plant’s system with the municipal system.
Residents are urged to make the necessary plans in preparation for the few hours without water.
