Durban man alive after being 'thrown off' N3 bridge and falling 25 metres

A 33-year-old male is reported to have been thrown off the bridge over the Paradise Valley Nature Reserve on the N3 this morning.

Who he is or why he was thrown off has not yet been made known.

According to Garrith Jamieson of Rescue Care, operations to retrieve the victim, who fell some 25 metres, took just over an hour.

‘Rescue Care Paramedics as well as SAPS Search and Rescue placed the patient in a stretcher before carefully maneuvering him, using a rope and pulley system, back to the top of the N3 from where he has since been transported to RK Khan Hospital in Chatsworth,’ said Jamieson.
