MERE hours after a Birdswood resident witnessed crooks pushing a Hyundai H100 out of his neighbour’s yard, police discovered the vehicle abandoned in Mandlanzini.
The light commercial vehicle was stolen at 4am on Thursday when the witness alerted the owner.
Richards Bay SAPS members recovered it before 8am on the back road to Richards Bay Minerals.
A case of theft of motor vehicle was opened and will be investigated by the Empangeni SAPS Vehicle Investigation Services.
No suspects have yet been arrested.
