A MOTORCYCLIST was lucky to have suffered relatively minor injuries on Tuesday after being knocked off his bike by a driver who reportedly skipped a red traffic light.
The accident occurred just after 2pm at the North Central Arterial and Premium Promenade intersection.
According to eyewitnesses, the Swazi driver of a powder blue sedan jumped the red light and the car’s back wheel hit the motorcyclist, flinging him into the air.
Emergency services arrived within minutes and it was determined the motorcyclist had suffered a broken femur.
He was transported to hospital for treatment.
