Hallelujah, Goedertrouw at 30%!

Goedertrouw Dam has reached 30%, however the Zululand region is still in the midst of a drought

GOUDERTROUW Dam has risen to 30.3% capacity, as reported today.

The Department of Water and Sanitation just released the latest statistics showing that dams across Zululand have increased.

This time last year the Goedertrouw Dam was at 24.63%.

While the recent heavy downpours that Zululand experienced contributed towards the increase in dam levels, the region isn’t in the clear just yet.

Members of the public should still use water sparingly as water restrictions in the district are still in place.

Meanwhile news regarding a water shutdown in the City of uMhlathuze has been circulating online.
The article in question was written and published last year and members of the public need not be concerned.
