Taxi drivers undergo a basic skills programme

TAXI drivers from various associations within the King Cetshwayo Region Taxi Association received valuable information during a Basic Skills Programme at Empangeni Country Club last Tuesday.
The workshop included training on taxi commission rules, customer service, commuter care, communication skills, defensive driving and safety and health issues.

This initiative was spearheaded by the South African National Taxi Council in KZN (Santaco) with the purpose of educating drivers about the industry.
‘We want to educate everyone in the industry and provide them with the tools which will make them understand this business,’ said Santaco KZN Training Manager Mpume Msomi.
