Top cops are locked out

Fed-up landlord locks up top crime shop

ZULULAND’S top crime fighters this morning found themselves locked out of their own offices in Empangeni.

Around 40 SAPS Crime Intelligence Unit members were greeted with a sign cable-tied to a security gate that read: ‘These premises have been locked due to non-payment of rental’ – by order of the building’s management.

The Zululand Observer understands the rent for the offices, situated inside Property House on Rex Henderson road, is paid by the KZN Department of Public Works.

Early attempts to ascertain the outstanding amount were unsuccessful.
