BUSINESS robbery accused, Thobani Govender, has been sentenced to eight years imprisonment by the Empangeni Regional Court.
Govender was arrested six days after he committed a robbery at a store in Sanlam Centre in January last year.
He was convicted eight months later and deemed unfit to possess a firearm.
According to Detective SH Ngwenya from the Empangeni SAPS, Govender and his accomplice, who is still at large, entered a store in Sanlam Centre last and stole 10 cellphones.
Four of the cellphones were recovered when Govender was arrested.
