eShowe District Hospital recently celebrated serving the community for six decades

AS part of the eShowe District Hospital‘s 60th anniversary celebrations held on Friday, 9 December, three plaques acknowledging previous staff members’ achievements and a fourth remembering those who died while in service of the hospital, were unveiled by KZN Health MEC Dr Sibongiseni Dlomo.

The Dr Chapman Neonatal Unit was named in honour of Dr Janet Chapman who initiated the unit at the hospital.

The third plaque recognises the work of Edna Mkhize who started as a nurse at the hospital and progressed to the position of CEO over her 41 years of service.
