THE Hawks in KZN on Tuesday confirmed they had taken four men in for questioning in connection with the murder of Inkosi Linda Mathonsi on 5 December.
Mathonsi (57) was shot and killed while driving in his car in Sundumbili.
His daughter (24), who was with him, escaped with a single gunshot wound to the arm.
‘One of the men was found in possession of a firearm,’ said Hawks spokesman, Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi.
‘The firearm was seized and will be sent for ballistic testing to establish if it was used in the commission of crime.’
Malaudzi on Tuesday said he was not at liberty to reveal more about the suspects at this stage.
