Grisly beach discovery

'Skeleton coast' beach clean-up

ANGLING club members doing a beach clean-up on Saturday were shocked to discover a partial skeleton between New Mouth and the South Pier.

The area was quickly cordoned off as harbour-based police recovered the skull of an adult and four bones.

These were taken to the Richards Bay police station and will be sent to Pretoria for forensic analysis and DNA sampling.

Comparisons will be made to known missing persons and drown victims.
