A WELL KNOWN University of Zululand student was shot and killed in an apparent robbery at his off-campus residence over the weekend.
The student, who has not yet been officially identified by police, was studying towards a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
According to police the 25-year-old man was ambushed by unknown gunmen at about 10.30pm while at home in Vulindlela, near the university’s main campus in KwaDlangezwa.
‘A case of murder and house robbery is being investigated by the Mtunzini SAPS,’ police spokesman Captian Nqobila Gwala said.
