In a brazen daylight drive-by shooting, the male occupant of a car driving down the John Ross Parkway was gunned down in a hail of bullets at around 9am today.
The scene, between the East Central Arterial and West Central Arterial robots, is teeming with uniformed police, detectives and forensic experts.
The man’s distraught wife arrived at the scene a short while ago.
The victim was apparently driving in the left hand lane when another vehicle drove alongside and opened fire.
He was either forced off the road or veered off after suffering fatal wounds.
The identity of the man is being withheld and the motive for the shooting is still to be determined.
