Beloved pastor Lulu dies

He was known for his kindness, humility and sincere love and concern for people.

PASTOR Rajakirnum Andrew, fondly known as pastor Lulu, the founder and senior pastor of Liberation Ministries Richards Bay, sadly passed away on Friday, leaving behind his beloved wife Rosemary, son Rene, daughter-in-law Taflyn, grandchildren Ricalyn and Shekinah and numerous family, friends and congregation members who relied on his wisdom and teaching.

He was known for his kindness, humility and sincere love and concern for people.

He combined his anointed ministry with singing and playing musical instruments along with Rosemary, also a gifted singer and minister, whom he married in 1979.

Pastor Andrew was the youngest son of late Mr and Mrs Audigadu from Magazine Barracks, Durban.

He schooled at Depot Road and then Chatsworth Truro School and was raised in the Telugu Baptist Church and later the Chatsworth Baptist Church.

The family was the founding members of the Baptist Association of SA.

He was called into full-time ministry at a very young age and being an outstanding musician, excelled in singing and playing various musical instruments, for which he won several awards.

He played for mega crusades in the early 70s and 80s.

He played for the Kings Men, became a recording artist and appeared on the SABC TV show Gospel Gold.

He also composed many gospel songs and releases several albums.

He started his ministry in Phoenix, Durban and later moved to Felixton, Empangeni and Richards Bay with the AFM Church.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all who rallied around and supported then throughout their time of bereavement
