A SIX-MONTH-OLD baby was sexually molested by her mom’s boyfriend in the Gawozi area in the Dukuduku Reserve, Mtubatuba, on Sunday.
It is reported the mother left her child in the care of her boyfriend when she went out on an errand to St Lucia.
On her return she bathed the baby and noticed there was something amiss.
When she asked the boyfriend about it, he threatened to stab her if she reported the matter.
The accused reportedly then locked the mother with the baby inside her house for days until she was assisted by a neighbour.
Taking the baby to the clinic for a checkup, they came across a Community Policing Forum (CPF) member and told him about the problem.
The CPF member contacted the police and reported the case.
The suspect has since disappeared.
