KWAMSANE police arrested a suspect with an unlicensed firearm in the early hours of Friday morning at Bhoboza Reserve.
They had received information about a man carrying a firearm at Bit by Bit Tavern and on arrival at the venue, requested permission from the 26-year-old to search him.
They recovered the Black Norinco Star with magazine and five live rounds of ammunition and after he failed to produce a licence for the firearm he was charged and will appear in court on Monday.
