Christmas bush knife attacker found guilty

According to evidence the attack followed an argument between him and the two elders

THE man who viciously hacked two of his uncles with a bush knife on Christmas Day in eSikhaleni, will be sentenced this week.

Mfundo Nsibande (22) was found guilty at the eSikhawini District Magistrate’s Court last week.

Nsibande faced two counts of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after he seriously wounded his two uncles at their house at Ndindima Reserve.

According to evidence the attack followed an argument between him and the two elders.

Throughout court proceedings Nsibande maintained his innocence, but the court rejected his version of events.

Nsibande’s bail was extended until the sentencing on Thursday.
