• Sakhiseni Shange (22) of Empangeni was sentenced to five years imprisonment, wholly suspended, for the statutory rape of a 15-yearold girl in Ntambanana during December 2015.
• Thabani Buthelezi (38) of Mzingazi was ordered to pay a R40 000 fine for the theft of 12 tyres worth R900 000 from Bell equipment during August 2014.
• Nthuthuko Biyela (32) of Ndlangubo was sentenced to three years imprisonment, wholly suspended, for culpable homicide for killing a nine-year-old child after not stopping at a stop street in October 2013.
• Khanyisile Ntombela (28) of Macekane was sentenced to five years imprisonment, wholly suspended, and a R1 500 fine for Assault GBH after stabbing a woman with a broken bottle in January.
