IFP grateful for support

The party managed to win two of the five municipalities under the renamed King Cetshwayo District

THE IFP in uThungulu District has expressed its appreciation to all the voters who voted for the party in the recent Local Government Elections.

The party managed to win two of the five municipalities under the renamed King Cetshwayo District.

They retained Nkandla Municipality and Mthonjaneni Municipality, and lost in uMfolozi, uMlalazi and uMhlathuze to the ANC.

IFP’s District Chairperson Thamsanqa Ntuli also thanked the party’s leader, Dr Mangosuhu Buthelezi for working tirelessly in campaigning for the party.

‘UmNtwana showed us what a great leader he is. He was leading from the front. He toured the whole of uThungulu, campaigning for the party,’ he said.

Ntuli said his party will continue fighting against corruption in the three municipalities they lost.

‘We will push for service delivery, and we will go down to our branches to explain to our members how we lost uMfolozi Municipality,’ said Ntuli who retained his Mayoral position at Nkandla Municipality.
