They demanded his car keys before they tied his hands and feet with electric cable

A HUGE police manhunt is underway after a Jozini man was left helpless in his home after a robbery last Tuesday.

William Phungula was attacked by three armed suspects in his homestead in Mkhonjeni Reserve.

According to police, Phungula was taking a bath at 8:30pm when the men stormed into his house and held him and his son at gunpoint. The suspects forced the victim into one of the bedrooms and ordered him to lie on the floor.

They demanded his car keys before they tied his hands and feet with electric cable.

KwaMsane police spokesperson, Capt Jabulani Mdletshe, said the suspects drove off with the victim’s white Toyota bakkie, two Samsung cell phones, two pairs of trousers and R200 cash.
