Pupils motivated to focus on education

Pupils were advised to focus on their studies and be aware what they want out of life

THE Mbuyiseni High School prize giving and matric farewell ceremony turned into a fascinating motivational session in KwaDlangezwa on Thursday.

During the main address, Chief Education Specialist in uMhlathuze Circuit Management Centre, Senzo Dube, advised pupils to focus on their studies and be aware what they want out of life.

Dube said, ‘A journey to success is fraught with hardships, but with hard work and dedication anything is possible.’

During his motivation he also advised pupils never to give up even if they don’t pass Grade 12.

‘There are some things which are urgent and important, and those that are not urgent. Passing matric is urgent, but not so important that pupils start thinking about taking their own lives,’ he said.

‘There will always be ups and downs in life. What you should know is that it won’t be easy but if you focus and have perseverance you will make it.’

During the ceremony, teachers who received a 100% pass rate in 2015 were awarded for their hard work and dedication. Pupils who achieved top marks last year were also recognised.
