From Senegal with love

'We just love being able to keep them fed and happy and I'm sure they are equally pleased to have us around'

FAR from home, two Senegalese entrepreneurs don’t ever get lonely – they have adopted hundreds of pigeons in the Richards Bay CBD.

Every day, Pathe Kebe and Samba Thiaw buy 2kg of mielies with which they feed their feathered friends.

‘At first they were afraid to come near but now they fly straight to us and even sit on our hands.

‘We just love being able to keep them fed and happy and I’m sure they are equally pleased to have us around,’ said Pathe.

Definitely no signs of xenophobia from this loving flock, who are literally welcomed with open arms.
