Amazing furry tale

The tough guy showed no obvious harm.

NEVER mind a tiger in the tank, this story goes one better!

Mechanics at the Midbay Motors workshop in Richards Bay couldn’t believe their eyes when a client arrived with a furry ‘passenger’ firmly wedged between the grille and the radiator of his car.

The cute little vervet monkey had somehow smuggled itself into the VW GTI, presumably to visit his cousins at Alkantstrand.

The noise, heat and even the cold air passing through the grille must surely have caused discomfort, but the tough guy showed no obvious harm.

He was packed into a box pending the arrival of the SPCA, who gave him a check-up before arranging him to be transferred to the CROW rehab centre in Durban.

No doubt his curiosity will be curbed at least for a while and he will restrict his monkey business in future.
