Spreading the warm spirit of ubuntu

The intention was to target orphans and the disadvantaged elderly, and offer them warm support to see them through the winter season.

THE Zululand Observer’s charity train DICE (Do I Care Enough?) made several stops in eSikhaleni this week to hand out loads of colourful warm blankets to the needy.

The intention was to target orphans and the disadvantaged elderly, and offer them warm support to see them through the winter season.

Assisted by youth and community leaders, those in need were identified.

The spirit of ubuntu brought tears of joy to the young and old who celebrated in song and dance, giving thanks for their special gifts.

These precious presents were hand-crafted by caring Zululanders who donated them to the DICE Winter Warmth campaign as part of the International Nelson Mandela Day.
