A MAN abducted from his home in eManguzi, tied to a tree and beaten into a coma, passed away as a result of his injuries in the Mseleni Hospital on Saturday evening.
Melusi Zungu (46) was discovered covered in bruises and wounds by family members in the bush in the Enqatheni area.
He was rushed to the hospital, but died at 5.40pm.
‘The eManguzi SAPS opened kidnapping and murder cases, but no one has been arrested yet,’ said KwaMsane SAPS spokesperson Captain Jabulani Mdletshe.
‘The detectives are doing everything possible to root out vigilantism in the area. They promised they will not rest until all the perpetrators are brought to book.’
