Daylight robbers target Brackenham

Criminals used a crowbar to break the property's gate and gain entry onto the premises.

FIVE armed men stormed into a Brackenham house on Saturday afternoon and held up a woman and her three grandchildren at gunpoint.

The incident unfolded at about 2.45pm in Aringa Loop street where criminals used a crowbar to break the property’s gate and gain entry onto the premises.

The grandmother and her grandchildren aged between 12 and 16, who were on holiday in Richards Bay, were forced to lay on the floor while robbers ransacked the property and took televisions and electrical equipment.

They demanded access to the safe and their passports, they also used soap to forcefully remove all the gold bangles off her arms before fleeing the scene.
