Young Mvutshini murderer gets 22 years

MTUBATUBA High Court Judge Nompumelelo Radebe handED down a 22-year sentence for murder and 12 years for robbery to 28-year-old Siphesihle Zulu on Friday.

He was found guilty of the murder of Arnold Emanuel Radebe (51) of Mvutshini outside Gingindlovu.

The deceased’s house was forcefully entered by Zulu and another accomplice at midnight on 16 August last year.
They tied Radebe’s hands and feet before gagging and stabbing him.

The post mortem revealed that the deceased died of suffocation, rather than from his stab wound.
Zulu and his accomplice fled with Radebe’s cell phone, vehicle and bank cards.

Gingindlovu Detective Commander Capt Coenie Herbst and his team of detectives followed various leads and arrested Zulu and another man who has not been charged owing to lack of evidence.
