SEARCH efforts continue for the body of a man taken by hippos while reportedly laying gill nets at Lake Mzingazi on Wednesday.
According to KZN Ezemvelo Wildlife a passer-by witnessed a pod of four hippos in the water when the man was attacked at around 6pm.
The search was abandoned after dark and resumed again on Thursday morning.
But by lunchtime, no body was found.
The incident occurred on the Madlanzini side of the lake, near the uMhlathuze Water pump house.
