AFTER 20 months of prayer, preparation and planning, the new 500-seater Lutheran Church building in Birdswood is ready for occupation and will be officially dedicated on Sunday, 24 April.
‘We invite the public to join us on this special day of celebration,’ said Pastor Stephan Gensicke.
‘Invitations have been sent to a number of VIPs, including other provincial and local government representatives who would join City Deputy Mayor Vera Gumbi – a member of the congregation – at the official opening.
‘This will be performed by Bishop PP Buthelezi from the South Eastern Diocese of the Lutheran Church.
‘We’ve also invited all members of the Pastors Fraternal as well as our builders, engineers and architects to be part of the celebration.
‘The church service will start at 9am, followed by a short programme with speeches and presentations.’
