THE case of a teacher accused of raping and molesting a staggering 25 pupils at KwaZibonele Primary School was postponed at the eShowe Magistrate’s Court last week.

The sexual abuse was exposed when a mother found a letter written in her child’s handwriting as she went through her schoolbag.

In the letter the child wrote about the abuse she was subjected to at the hands of her teacher.

The concerned mother immediately spoke to her daughter, who revealed that the teacher physically dragged her to the school’s toilets where he sexually molested her.

The woman hurried her daughter to the clinic for tests, where it was confirmed that she was raped.

Confronting the teacher at school, the mother was reportedly offered a bribe to drop the case.

After this was rejected, the teacher vanished from the school’s premises.

The mother’s commitment to expose the abuse resulted in 24 more pupils coming forward with similar claims.

The mother applaud the school’s participation in working with the police.

The case is set to resume on 14 June.
