No structured water cuts implemented in the immediate future

THERE are to be no structured water cuts implemented in the immediate future.

This according to a high-ranking City official who said the water pressure would, however, remain diminished between 10pm and 6am.

He was speaking at the culmination of a meeting which began early this morning between various City Department representatives.

An official statement sent to ratepayers on Monday evening said that water cuts would take place starting on Tuesday.

This is the second time this year the City has announced water cuts on social media and via text, before retracting their statement.

Residents are reminded, though, that there is a severe water shortage, with our water supply estimated to be around 20 weeks’ worth at this stage.
