RICHARDIA Primary’s sport fields were jam-packed with talented young cricket players on Saturday at the Mini Cricket Festival, which saw U7 to U9 teams competing in two matches on the day.

Tuesday saw Sagewood hosting the third Mini Cricket Festival, with Heuwelland hosting the fourth this Saturday (action gets underway from 8am).

Veldenvlei will host the fifth and last festival on Saturday, 27 February, before Richards Bay Christian School hosts the popular annual KFC Mini Cricket Festival at the uMhlathuze Regional Sports Complex on Saturday, 5 March.

Mini cricket matches allows all eight players to ball and bat for six balls, with the focus being on technique.
