Electrical fault causes another power outage in Brackenham

Residents left without electricity in some parts of the suburb

AN electrical fault has left certain parts of Brackenham without electricity since 7am this morning.
This comes just a week after some of the suburb’s streets experienced a power outage which lasted three days when a transformer exploded last Sunday.
City of uMhlathuze municipal spokesperson, Mdu Ncalane confirmed that the power failure was an unplanned outage and the electricity supply was expected to be restored by 6pm this evening.
‘The fault caused an outage in a new area as well as some of the areas that were affected by last week’s outage.’
