Apollo House claims bragging rights at Felixton College Junior Inter-House gala

FELIXTON College’s Jaryd Holton and Mbali Burnett bettered one record each at the Junior Inter-House gala held at the Empangeni Town Pool on Wednesday evening.

Not only did they smash records, the two were also awarded Junior Victor and Victrix Ludorum respectively.

Burnett broke the Junior Girls Individual Medley record, which stood from 2010 with a new time of 1.39.92 (1.47.81 old time), with Holton breaking the Junior Boys Individual Medley record, which stood from 2009, with a time of 1.33.50 (1.44.75 old time).

Apollo House not only took home the House trophy and bragging rights for 2016, but also the Spirit trophy.

The winning House notched up 391 points, followed by Neptune in second spot with 330 points and Vulcan in third with 325 points.

Amy Carey took home the Senior Victrix Ludorum, with Ryan McNally walking off with the Senior Victor Ludorum.
