Upbeat Deejay reaches for new heights

Zululand's Deejay Nivaadh Singh is breaking his limits and now exploring music production

LEAVING his imprint on the Zululand entertainment scene, popular local deejay Nivaadh Singh is now venturing into music production.

The 28-year-old engineering inspector has kicked off his first project, working with 2015 Umfolozi Idols winner Vinesa Naidoo on her new album.

‘I am excited to be working with Vinesa and I believe this is the right time to launch myself into the music industry.

‘The dance music scene has practically exploded in recent years and it being commercialized in television and radio.

‘With the country receiving an award last year for ‘Dance Nation of the Year’ I foresee some fresh musical breakthroughs in the near future.

‘Local and international hip hop and local house music is dominating these days and what our local artists are creating is amazing.

‘Our local music scene has never been as strong as it is right now and I must congratulate all local artists for believing in their art because this is where up-and-coming artists gain their inspiration from,’ said Nivaadh.

Nivaadh started his music career as a drummer, moved into the DJ business and has also tapped into music productions and recording engineering.

He opened his recording studio Destination 4:13 Records in 2008.
