Inviting all dance crew to showcase their talent
DANCERS will have chance to showcase their talent in the Battle of the Dance Crews competition at the uMfolozi Casino Resort in Empangeni on Saturday, 20 February.
According to organisers all dance styles are welcome, but a minimum of three dancers per crew is required.
The competition will have junior and senior sections.
The audience will be involved in the voting process.
ARTS scouts from Johannesburg will be present and on the lookout for new talent.
This particular event serves as an opportunity for local youngsters to qualify for attendance of the ARTS convention in the USA in July, where they can perform in front of international talent scouts.
‘I have always been interested in the arts and danced for many years. I would like to assist those with talent to reach their dreams and give them an opportunity,’ said event organiser Cathy Sutherland.
An award ceremony will be held for winners after the dance-off.
Only R20 is required per dancer, and registration closes on 14 February.
Tickets are R100 per person and R1 000 per table of 10 people.
