UTHUNGULU District Municipality hosted its annual Christmas party on 16 December at the municipal building in Richards Bay.
This year it was a joint festive event for people with disabilities and senior citizens.
The Speaker, Cllr Alice Mthembu delivered the keynote address and encouraged attendees to participate fully in community structures that are available to address issues pertaining to their unique challenges.
Hundreds of delighted delegates from the two marginalised groups enjoyed a light-hearted day of cheerful messages and motivational talks.
They received groceries and gifts to ease their financial burdens at this time of the year.
