A ROBBERY suspect turned state witness in the case of Emmanuel Joe Mbokazi (36) and Dumsani Christopher Mkhwanazi (32), is still missing.
That was revealed when the duo, accused of robbery in the Mtunzini area, appeared in the eSikhawini Regional Court last Tuesday.
Court proceedings once again ground to a halt when the defense told the court the whereabouts of the witness was still unknown.
He was allegedly hired as the driver for the two accused.
In their previous court appearance, it was revealed that the informant had been threatened.
A police escort was arranged to ensure his safety, but when police arrived at his home he had disappeared.
A warrant of arrest was extended and the case postponed until further notice.
