‘LET go! I am going to shoot you!’

These were the last words Play and Schoolroom  pre-school principal, Adelle Muller heard before she was shot, while shielding a child with her body.

The principal of the Meerensee school and a four-year old boy, miraculously survived a hi-jacking by three armed men yesterday afternoon.

She was accosted in the driveway of the school in Perlemoen Street, while waiting in the driveway for the boy’s parents to fetch him.

Muller spoke to the Zululand Observer from the school this morning.

‘He knelt next to me and stuck the gun under my arm before pulling the trigger,’ said Muller.

‘I don’t know how I survived. It is a miracle’.

The vehicle has since been recovered in Kolstertkring and the suspects fled on foot.

The pre-schooler has been safely reunited with his parents.

Both will receive trauma counselling.
