THE spate of police killings continues with news just in of two policemen shot during a shoot-out near a shopping mall in Gingindlovu.
Early reports are that one officer died on the scene and another is critically wounded after he was shot 5 times.
IPSS Rescue spokesman, Dylan Meyrick confirmed medics are rushing, under RTI escort the officer to Netcare Alberlito Hospital.
Mandeni police have reportedly crossed the Tugela in pursuit of a vehicle heading south on the N2, believed to have been involved in the shooting.
This comes days after Empangeni policeman, Sgt Niren Ramsaroop was shot dead in the Empangeni CBD after a robbery near the taxi rank on Saturday.
