The cupcake angel works her magic

SHE is the quintessential angel of cuisine, complete with shiny chocolate brown eyes and a beautiful sweet smile, ready to manifest divine treats for the most extravagant banquet table.

By day Prinola Subramoney (25) spends her time in the stark environment of courts, processing crime statistics and capturing charge sheets, but when she steps outside of the Richards Bay Court, she transforms into a culinary genius with a thousand taste sensations up her sleeve.

This girl was born with the proverbial silver spoon in the mouth to offer mere mortals a taste of heaven.

Her scrumptious cupcakes and sweet puddings earned her a loyal following of family, friends and colleagues, waiting in anticipation for the next perfect batch.

Last year she married hubby Aldino and he is a lucky man indeed with a such a honey in the heart of the home.

Word of mouth about her culinary talents quickly spread and she is now taking a leap of faith by hanging out her business board ‘The Vanilla Bean’, where she plans to put the cherry on top of every miniature cake she so cherishes to bake.

‘Honestly, I just love food. I love baking and cooking.

‘My favourite treat is vanilla cupcakes, hence the name ‘The Vanilla Bean’,’ Prinola says.

‘I have no formal training, but I watch the TV food channels and get ideas from there.

‘I even lie awake at night thinking about how I am going to decorate a pudding.

‘My granny used to bake for our large family and I hope to follow in her footsteps.

‘The greatest satisfaction is when my loved ones enjoy the food I have prepared.’

As the say, the proof is in the pudding, but given Prinola’s track record her sweet dreams should fly..
