INGWAVUMA SAPS has opened a case of rape after a three-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by her 12-year-old neighbour at Mathayini Reserve.
According to KwaMsane SAPS spokesperson, Captain Mdletshe, the girl’s mother noticed something was wrong with her daughter during her bath on Friday.
From what the little girl described happened to her, the mother suspected she was raped.
She then took her child to Mosvold Hospital where nurses confirmed the girl had been sexually abused.
No one has yet been arrested.
