UPDATE: Man accused of killing, burning his girlfriend in court

Sfiso Thulani Gumede appears briefly in eSikhawini Magistrates Court.

FURIOUS Port Durnford residents and members of the ANC Womens League chanted and sang outside eSikhawini District Magistrates Court earlier today.

Sfiso Thulani Gumede’s (49) has been charged with killing his 40-year-old girlfriend last month.

Gumede was arrested after female remains were found burning under a tractor tyre in a forest close to his home.

The case was postponed to 20 October for a formal plea.
