Why we love Heritage Day:
Heritage Day was declared a national holiday during the late Nelson Mandela’s presidential term to ensure that nation building happened not only in government but between neighbours, family and friends. Food is also a big part of many of our cultures. As you celebrate your Heritage Day with either family or friends, let Checkers take care of the grub in true South African style, from the boerewors to the sundowner.
