Internet unleashes demons – Bishop

Schoolchildren claim to be attacked by demons.

BISHOP PMM Sokhela is a man on a mission – praying for the healing of schoolchildren suffering from demonic attacks.

According to Sokhela, it is common for school children to become victims of demonic attacks within the uThungulu District.

Incidents of especially girls falling victim have been reported in schools, with the most recent example being the reed festival maidens who began screaming, almost causing a stampede at the stadium while King Goodwill Zwelithini delivered his speech at Enyokeni last weekend.

Sokhela believes the reason why this is so rampant these days is the Internet influences on children and the religious freedom people have.

‘Nowadays children are attracted to the glamorous world and lifestyles of Devil worshipers,’ he said.

Reports from communities faced with this scourge allege some schoolchildren will start off by hallucinating, followed by piercing screams.

Sokhela concedes that this phenomenon tends to be worse close to examination time.

Bishop Sokhela said during the attacks demons can be transmitted from one girl to another, at times resulting in about two to three girls wailing at the same time.

Claims of ‘suitors’ using muti to woo schoolgirls have been mentioned as one of the causes. Victims, when attacked by demons, would start by screaming, causing complete chaos in the classroom, and if not restrained would run away from the school, calling out the name of the alleged perpetrator.

‘Some of the children I pray for are healed, but the problem is some teachers refuse us entry into schools where pupils face demonic attacks,’ said Sokhela.
