AT least 18 people have been injured, five of them seriously, after the taxi they were travelling in overturned on the John Ross Highway at the eSikhaleni intersection at about 4pm today.
Although the exact circumstances surrounding the cause of the crash remain unclear, witnesses on scene said the taxi and the bakkie collided.
‘Six critical and five seriously injured patients were treated, as well as five more for minor injuries,’ said KZN EMS spokesperson, Robert McKenzie.
