When in load shedding mode, ‘watts’ your load

5 ways your life has changed since load shedding.

A STRANGE reality to be faced with, but load-shedding has become a way of life for us South Africans.

Let’s take a moment to reflect on its impact over the past year:

1. Instead of checking our daily weather forecasts, we regularly checked our load-shedding schedules

2. We discussed within our circle of colleagues, friends and family easy load-shedding dinner ideas

3. We had conversations with our kids for approximately and hour-and-a-half about how back in the day the only time we experienced power outages was during bad storms, or when a substation malfunctioned (while casually toasting marshmallows over scattered candles).

4. We had days planned for shopping, only to walk into dark malls

5. We had to manoeuvre through traffic intersections like we were dodging darts, all the while trying to map out alternate power options.

Now, beside our day-to-day casual load-shedding woes, these blackouts have had major effect on our economy.

Without electricity, big corporations and small businesses alike are struggling to produce revenue.

On the bright side though, we do have other options at hand, and it all comes down to ‘watts your type’?

Do you like your power supply to be more efficient or more on demand; easy to set up, or safe and easy to handle and operate?

Here are your options, powered by ACDC Express Richards Bay
