RICHARDS Bay firefighters made a horrific discovery this morning when they found the charred remains of an unknown person inside a gutted vehicle on Naval Island in Richards Bay.
Just after 6am firefighters were responding to reports of a bush fire when they discovered the vehicle that was still burning.
The vehicle was found near the dense Casuarina trees on the sandy off-road route.
The cause of the incident is unknown at this stage while police have yet to ascertain the identity of the deceased.
